frequently asked questions

Q: What are the uses of Miracle Berry?
A: Miracle Berry tablets have many uses. According to Dr. Mike Cusnir, lead researcher and oncologist at Mt. Sinai Medical Center, Miracle Berry may enhance the flavors of food for cancer patients whose chemotherapy treatments have dulled their taste buds or rendered food tasting metallic.

Diabetics and dieters alike can incorporate the fruit into their diet to enhance the flavors of healthy foods, thus allowing more tasty and well-balanced options. There is no need for a candy bar when you can take a tablet and get comparable enjoyment with a grapefruit or a handfull of blueberries, without added sugar or artificial sweeteners. Miracle Berry has a low glycemic load, contains almost no calories, and is all natural.

For people who consume unpleasant tasting dietary supplements such as aloe vera juice, MSM powder, spirulina, or any number of others, Miracle Berry can help. Miracle Berry has been known to wash away and/or mask the bitter flavors of nutritional supplements that tend to stick around long after ingestion.

Q: Why not fresh berries?
A: Miracle Berries have an extremely short shelf life (about 2 days) which makes shipping quite expensive and brings the price of the berry to about $3-$5 each. Tablets contain 3 hand-picked, freeze-dried berries and have a much longer shelf life. This makes them more accessible and convenient.

Q: Where are the berries grown?
A: The berries are grown in Florida, Taiwan and Africa.

Q: Could I grow my own?
A: Miracle Berry plants are fussy and require just the right climate and light... but you could try.

Q: Do the tablets need refrigeration?
A: No. The tablets are shelf stable but best kept in a cool, dry place.

Q:
Are there any additives?
A: Miracle Berry tablets contain no added sugars or additives and are made from only the finest hand-selected Miracle Berries in the world. The only ingredients in these tablets are synsepalum dulcificum and corn starch as a binding agent. Beware of claims from companies that their tablets are 100% Miracle Berry fruit, as it is not possible to form a tablet without a binding agent of some sort.

Q: Are there any side effects?
A: There are no known side effects or adverse reactions to the Miracle Berry, however one should watch eating too many acidic foods in one sitting. Though naturally acidic foods (like lemons) can actually alkalize the body, over-consumption may cause temporary discomfort on the tongue.
